With today’s high quality and diverse range of fabrics it is important for the thread to be resistant to needle heat and abrasion. Somac offer a number of products, our main threads recommended are A&E Perma Core® 36 or Somac Corespun Poly Cotton Glace 36 for the main seams together with our Perma Core® 75 for overlocking on woven fabrics or our high quality SomaBond 40 bonded nylon or Corespun Poly Cotton Glace 36 to be used on leather or imitation leather. For decorative seams SomaBond 20, Corespun Poly Cotton Glace 20 or Filan® 20 may be used.
